What to Pack for a Mountain Retreat

By Nacusi Team

All articles

Mountain weather changes quickly. The most useful thing you can pack is flexibility — layers you can add and remove, and shoes that handle a sudden shower.

Bring comfortable walking shoes with grip, a warm mid-layer (even in summer evenings cool down quickly), and a light rain shell. A reusable water bottle is essential; we have spring water on tap throughout the estate.

Leave behind anything that ties you to a screen if you can. Bring a notebook, a book you've been meaning to read, and a sense of unhurried time.

For those joining a retreat, loose comfortable clothes for movement and meditation are ideal. Everything else — yoga mats, blankets, herbal teas — we provide.

And one last thing: a small gift of curiosity. The estate, the forest and the village around us reveal themselves slowly. The less you arrive with a plan, the more you tend to discover.
